Supervisor Toolkit

Employees that hold a supervisory role have additional responsibilities as they are expected to manage staff, teams, and work productivity in support of the mission of Berkeley Lab.  Supervisors will be required to take additional training and be familiar with the various activities and resources required to be successful in their leadership role.

This Supervisor Toolkit highlights best practices and guidance that are common for all supervisors in any team or organizational context. In addition, it is designed to support the supervisor's role as it relates to Berkeley Lab's Stewardship Values and commitment to IDEA principles. This guide will serve as your toolkit and includes best practices that are practical and applicable for all of the different kinds of working relationships and partnerships that supervisors, and their employees and teams engage in at Berkeley Lab.
